myPVshop.com is dedicated to providing the most secure online shopping available. We routinely hire outside web security companies to verify the security of the website, and ensure we remain up-to-date on the latest methods being used by hackers to penetrate website security systems.

Our first line of defense is the fact that we never store your credit card or other payment information in any form. When you enter your credit card information, it is transmitted via secure server directly to the credit card processor. WE NEVER RECORD YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION.

This does cause a slight inconvenience - unlike other websites that do record your information, when you shop at myPVshop.com you'll have to enter your credit card information every time you shop. We decided to do this because of the reports that we're always hearing of this or that major company having their computer hacked and identity thieves stealing all their customers' credit card information. We figure that if a company with multi-million dollar systems and high-priced IT experts cannot keep their customers' information safe, then nobody can. We do not want to be the cause of such a devastating blow to any of our customers.

Our second line of defense is the use of secure encrypted connections (SSL) whenever any personal information is transmitted. Whenever you register for an account, sign in, view your account information, or anytime personal information is transmitted, we use an SSL connection which provides for secure transmission of the data. A determined hacker can use several methods to attempt to crack the SSL connection. Even though this is highly unlikely, we have installed additional security protocols to help prevent this.

Our third line of defense is a sophisticated set of security protocols including the use of secure cookies. We cannot divulge these procedures here, as it would just be an invitation to potential hackers - indeed, many of them would love the challenge. But you can be assured that we do take website security much more seriously than most online stores, and that we will always make every effort to ensure that any personal information which we receive is protected using the latest web security methods.
