We decided to do this because of the reports that we're always hearing of this or that major company having their computer hacked and identity thieves stealing all their customers' credit card information. We figure that if a company with multi-million dollar systems and high-priced IT experts cannot keep their customers' information safe, then nobody can. We do not want to be the cause of such a devastating blow to any of our customers.

Our second line of defense is the use of secure encrypted connections (SSL) whenever any personal information is transmitted. Whenever you register for an account, sign in, view your account information, or anytime personal information is transmitted, we use an SSL connection which provides for secure transmission of the data. A determined hacker can use several methods to attempt to crack the SSL connection. Even though this is highly unlikely, we have installed additional security protocols to help prevent this.
